Today I am sharing an AMAZING artist with you. I am so happy she has returned to Etsy.
Kate Fitzpatrick creates some of the most colorful and magical artwork I have ever seen. She is able to tell entire stories just by looking at one of her artworks. She has a very special collection of Artist Trading Cards available in her shop currently.

In the past, she has sold prints, paintings, jewelry, and cards. I cannot wait to see what else this shop and artist will bring to the handmade world! Please take some time to enjoy her shop and mark as a favorite if you love her or her work!

"Sidra" by Author Kate Fitzpatrick is Now Out!

As soon as my good friend Kate told me that she was writing a book, I could not wait till the day it arrived! Now the time has finally come and I placed my Amazon.com order the minute I heard it was released!

IN A NEW FANTASY FOR YOUNG READERS, TWO GIRLS SHARE AN UNBREAKABLE BOND WHEN THEY DISCOVER A MAGICAL WORLD.

Sidra is released by author Kate Fitzpatrick.
SUMMARY:

When Stella and Violet first meet one another at summer camp in upstate New York, they don’t become instant friends. But when the two girls realize that they are the only ones who can see a spectacular purple and white star glowing in the night sky, they begin their journey of friendship together, one that will ultimately lead them to a magical world called Sidra.
Sidra, by author Kate Fitzpatrick, is a book for young adults about two girls who discover a new world and a whole cast of fascinating characters. One rainy night, an elderly centaur shows up at Stella’s house and implores the two friends to join him on a mission to stop an evil sorceress named Desdemona from destroying his world. The girls accept and accompany him on a dangerous quest where they will meet other beings from Sidra, both good and evil. Stella and Violet will not only discover an exciting new world, but will also learn the true depth of courage and love that lies within themselves.

Sidra will appeal to all readers, both young and old, who enjoy fantasy fiction.

I'm Yours

Rarely do I really feature items from my shop, but I wanted to share with you an amazing Gocco printed greeting card that etsian KateFitzpatrick and I created over the weekend.

She is the artist of this original drawing titled, "I'm Yours."

This is an amazing piece of art to own and send to a loved one, friend who is getting married, or just to say, "I'm Yours."

This is a Gocco print card using the "I'm Yours" illustration by my friend and fellow etsian KateFitzpatrick, who is on sumer hiatus. We have been working on a collaborative listing for gocco printed cards based on her original drawing. Kate writes...

This is a card based on my illustration, 'I'm Yours'. It was inspired by one of my all time favorite songs by Jason Mraz. If you have not heard it, look for it on his website because it is so romantic, so simple, so beautiful, and so true! I wanted to do a piece of artwork inspired by how it made me feel.

Blue and Brown Treasury

I got another treasury last night! I don't think it meshes too well with each other, but I liked the items! The theme is Blue and Brown and the link can be found HERE.

Some of my favorite etsians are in it as usual... KateFitzpatrick, Shaylamaddox, and I have purchased that exact headband from PurpleLicious before (she has a great shop).

In other news... my spring break is over today. I am getting ready to go to school and prep for tomorrow. I did get a ton accomplished over break, despite the unforeseen trip to Missouri. I am finishing up my book tonight and sending it to the publishers tomorrow if all goes well. It seems like I have been saying that FOREVER, but things keep coming up. I will be thrilled when my students have copies in their hands!

I still have 4 pre-sale copies left in my Etsy shop at the discounted price. It features 30 ACEO artists and over 50 elementary 3rd-5th grade artists in it. All proceeds go towards buying books for the students and ACEO education.

Etsy for Causes: Kate Fitzpatrick and Women For Women International

I love buying from shops that donate a percentage of their money to a cause or organization. As many of you know, proceeds from my ACEO book go towards ACEO education and the elementary student artists who contributed to the book along with the etsy/ebay artists.

I have known Etsian KateFitzpatrick for a long time now and she has beautiful work that is very affordable. Her prints, paintings, and jewelry are AMAZING! Someday if I ever have kids, I want to hire her to paint murals in their rooms!

Anyways, until April 8th, 100 % of her profits from her Etsy shop go towards sponsoring a women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo through Women for Women International. She also participated in an International Conference Call that took place a week or so back (the call can be listened to on her blog)!

She writes in her profile:

"March 8th is International Women's Day! In honor of that, starting March 8th and going until April 8th (a full month!!) 100% of the profits of everything sold in my shop are going straight to sponsoring a woman in the Democratic Republic of the Congo who is a survivor of war, rape, and sexual torture. I am sponsoring her through an amazing organization called Women for Women International. You can read more about this on my blog, at http://www.life-magic-beauty-love.blogspot.com. So buy some art and know that your cash is going straight to an amazing cause!"

Please visit her shop and support her cause!

ETSY ARTIST FEATURE #2: KateFitzpatrick

Alright everyone! I have to tell you about this amazing women who I have always looked up to and adored her work ever since I met her about ten years ago!

Etsian KateFitzpatrick sells unique art and jewelry in her shop. She has such a colorful and bold style that makes one stare at her detailed work longer and longer. Her Shop quote or theme, "Life.Magic.Beauty.Love," truly supports the spirit of her work.

My favorite pieces are " I m Yours" (her most popular sold print) and "Daydreamer," which is pictured above.

Take some time to look at KateFitzpatrick's shop. It is worth the time and purchase! I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed!!!!
