New Treasury Widget
I love using Craft Cult's site for a variety of things Etsy! I am especially loving their treasury widget. This new tool allows one to search all the Treasuries they are in or they have made, customize the look, and get an html code to post on their website or blog.

Two New Treasuries

I really love the two most recent treasuries I have been featured in. The first (above) because the colors go so well together and all of these artists will be present at the Bloomingtion Handmade Market coming up! I am always impressed with the talent when I attend this show as a vendor and am honored to have my Jumbo Heart Rainbow Crayons chosen among these wonderful handmade items.

The second treasury I love because it is named after one of my favorite paintings, The Starry Night. Make sure to take a look and comment!

A Rainbow of Colors
Today my Rainbow Crayons were featured in a treasury. I think it is difficult to make a "good" rainbow treasury without clashing colors or patterns. This treasury created by AMIZANTI on Etsy is a great collection! Can you find my Rainbow Crayons?

Gardens Galore: My Gardening Experience So Far...

I am really excited to show you photos of my "garden." I put "garden" in quotes because yes, it is a garden, but I am still in the learning stages. Last year we had only a container garden and had pretty good luck. This year, I did a little science experiment to see if veggies would have enough sun to grow in the ground at the side of my house. I decided to do both this year and took some photos to show how they have been doing after a month. The ground plants were more mature than the container plants, so there is a difference as it is, but the ground plants are growing and look much more healthier.
You can also see my strawberries attacking my Rhubarb. I was able to get a good amount of strawberries about 3 times so far (every 2 days I pick), but now something is getting to them and they are quite small.
I did see a chipmunk and a new hole in my mulch. Anyone know what I should do about this? I hope the chipmunks do not eat my veggie plants when they start growing actual vegetables! I need chipmunk help!!!

Etsy Finds: Weekend Deals for Kids- ANOTHER FEATURE!
WOW! Another feature in a week. I am so humbled and surprised. This has been such a great week for myself and my shop. Thank you to everyone for their comments and support. If you did not catch the second feature (which includes a rare sale I have), check out this edition of Weekend Deals! The sale ends tonight at midnight, so check it out ASAP! I only do this sale 3-4 times a year and it is always a hit!
I am busy making crayons day and night, which is much easier now that I am out of school. Several stores have placed wholesale orders for my Rainbow Crayons and a few returning wholesale customers have sold out and are back for more! It is so exciting to hear that the crayons are a big hit! If you are looking for wholesale for any of my products, feel free to convo me for my prices!
I was also featured in a treasury recently. I LOVE this print and have sold several versions in the last few months.

Updates, Treasuries, and More!
WEDDING NEWS: Still no official date yet. My church is getting a new priest, so we have to wait till they call us to set up an initial meeting. A lot of things are waiting on this, so it is making me nervous.... Did I mention that Brown and Teal/Turquoise/Aqua are our official wedding colors?!
I HAVE gone bridesmaid shopping with both my mother and Eric's sisters. Here is one of my favorites so far by Alfred Angelo. Too bad all the other ones I like are being discontinued!
Image from www.alfredangelo.com
IN THE SHOP: I put up some new prints of watercolor paintings and ink drawings I created on my last trip to Italy. They are pretty awesome! I want to go back so bad. Maybe you will purchase them so I can fun my honeymoon to __(Fill in the blank)____?!?!?!
TREASURIES: I have been in several treasuries over the past week or so... my Jumbo Star Rainbow Crayons were featured in the first one listed, my "Night on the Town" print was featured on the one below it. The Rainbow Treasury made the front page, but I missed it :(

Hope everyone is having a great week! Thanks for catching up with me!

More Treasuries
I got lucky yesterday and got a Treasury in Treasury West. It is a black and white theme and I am hoping it makes it on the front. It has a ton of comments.

I am also in a Crayon Crafters Treasury (many Etsians have now caught on to my, what used to be, most popular item)! My Original Mini Rainbow Crayons are featured!

Buried Treasury and TimothyAdamDesigns

For the past few months, I have had the pleasure of talking and working with etsian TimothyAdamDesigns. I met found him on Etsy back when he was looking for artists for his second edition of The Handbook to Handmade. I noticed in the forums that several were interested in being a part of this monthly publication. At the time, it seemed like a lot of money, but when I decided to go for it, the spaces to be in the book were gone.
Shortly after, I was able to jump on board and be in the third edition and get chosen for the cover (the Rainbow Crayons)! I loved the book so much that I joined again in the 5th edition as well!
Since then, Timothy now has a HUGE following and sells out of the preregistrations sometimes in 24 hours or less. Being featured in his book is in high demand right now and it is a great purchase for anyone looking to advertise!
He has even now come up with a $10.00 ad space you can purchase (which I have twice already), which I think is amazing because this book is sent all over the world. It is a great keepsake, promotional item, or advertising source for anyone's shop!
He has also gone on to develop several blogs that have become popular:
And his newest, Buried Treasury.
BURIED TREASURY
In the new Buried Treasury blog, Timothy features Etsy-Minis of all types of shops. Anyone can be features and tagged on up to five categories. All one has to do is comment on at least two of the postings/shops and send him a convo. For more information, CLICK HERE.
I did this yesterday and within a few minutes, Tim had me up and running!
Tim Says, ".....there are so many great items on Etsy that are buried under thousands of items......lets dig up these Etsy treasures and display them in a different and unique way. These Minis are active and can change when
shop owners change their items"
I took some screen shots for you to see above and below!

Blue and Brown Treasury

I got another treasury last night! I don't think it meshes too well with each other, but I liked the items! The theme is Blue and Brown and the link can be found HERE.
Some of my favorite etsians are in it as usual... KateFitzpatrick, Shaylamaddox, and I have purchased that exact headband from PurpleLicious before (she has a great shop).
In other news... my spring break is over today. I am getting ready to go to school and prep for tomorrow. I did get a ton accomplished over break, despite the unforeseen trip to Missouri. I am finishing up my book tonight and sending it to the publishers tomorrow if all goes well. It seems like I have been saying that FOREVER, but things keep coming up. I will be thrilled when my students have copies in their hands!
I still have 4 pre-sale copies left in my Etsy shop at the discounted price. It features 30 ACEO artists and over 50 elementary 3rd-5th grade artists in it. All proceeds go towards buying books for the students and ACEO education.

FRONT PAGE!

Hi everyone!
Thank you for those who continue to visit my blog. I do apologize for not updating yesterday. I received word the other day that my 92-year old grandfather is very sick and was suddenly moved to a nursing home. I took an 8 hour trip to Missouri to go visit him with my father and boyfriend and just arrived back home. He is still not well, and will most likely not get better. Please keep him in your prayers.
On a more happy note, I came home to discover that my Treasury made the front page!!! I am on the look out for anyone who may have a screenshot of this on the front page (please let me know if you do).
This is the first time ever that one of mine have made it to the front page! I was very excited to hear this good news. The treasury is pictured above! It is called, "Colors Make the World Go Round." I love colors and love all of the artists that I chose for this collection. I am glad that I was given the chance to share it with everyone!
I am still looking for new Etsy shops to feature for this month! Please see the previous post for more information!

Llama Treasury!

My treasuries seem to go by so quickly before I can share them with others. I LOVE llamas. It is more of an inside joke with my boyfriend and I, but I found some very cool things on Etsy related to llamas, so I made a treasury (pictured above).
When I showed him all of the listings, he immediately had me buy a llama ACEO from Etsian AnnRan, whose shop can be found here. I figured I would add it to the other ACEOs I have been sharing with my students.
In other news, the ACEO book with works by Etsy artists and my 3rd-5th grade elementary artists has reached over 1000 views in a week. Only 5 pre-sale copies are left! Buy one today and help out student artists!
Please visit my treasury, which will only be up for about one more day, or comment about it here!
If you are bored..... VISIT THIS SITE! This is a funny Llama video that you HAVE to see!
